(More customer reviews)This is a high quality workbook. It organizes grade 2 math in short daily exercises to warm up a child's math sense and skills. The problems are well designed, no flashy frills, just solid meat, very comprehensive. I particularly like its mixed bag layout of problems to keep kids' interest high. Otherwise, children are easily bored while doing the same thing again and again monotonously, like in many other workbooks.
Looking for more such material with real-life math problems, I found Beestar online math. It's like the online version of this book with some competition. I signed up my son last semester and we both like it every much. With the solid foundation built from this book, my son often gets on the honor roll in Beestar. In the past he only played games on the computer. Now he learns math online with motivation. I love it. Thanks to this book that had it all started.
